The 2026 season came to an end for the D.C. Everest girls' soccer team on Saturday as the 4th seeded Evergreens fell at top seeded Hudson 7-0 in a Division 1 regional final. Hudson broke a scoreless tie in the 14th minute of the first half on a goal by freshman Lily Rubenzer. The Raiders would continue to carry the play and doubled their lead in the 27th minute on a goal by Payton Killian. A just over a minute after that it was 3-0 Hudson after Natalie Ramthun scored. In

Friday the Wisconsin Valley Conference announced it's all-WVC girls' soccer team with three members of both Wausau West and D.C. Everest earning 1st Team honors along with one from Wausau East. Baseball: Mosinee's Baars, Andersen among 1st Team all-Great Northern Conference.
Mosinee's Tyler Baars and Sebastian Andersen among the all-Great Northern Conference 1st Team baseball squad. Baars, a senior, led the conference in batting with a .500 average, hits with 27, runs scored with 19 and RBI with 20. Baars was also second in the conference in stolen bases with 10, just one back of the league leader. Andersen, also a senior, was third in the league with a .438 batting average, 2nd in hits with 21, 2nd in home runs with 2, and 2nd in RBI with 17.

The Great Northern Conference has announced their all-league team for the 2026 season with Mosinee and Medford dominating the 1st Team. Mosinee had four players earn 1st Team all-GNC honors. The 2026 season came to an end for the Marathon, Newman Catholic and Northland Lutheran golfers that competed at a Division 3 sectional at the Trempealeau Mountain Golf Course on Tuesday. The Marathon baseball team started their Division 3 playoff run in fine style with a 10-3 victory in a regional semifinal.
