Girls soccer: D.C. Everest falls at top seeded Hudson in regional final

The 2026 season came to an end for the D.C. Everest girls' soccer team on Saturday as the 4th seeded Evergreens fell at top seeded Hudson 7-0 in a Division 1 regional final.

Hudson broke a scoreless tie in the 14th minute of the first half on a goal by freshman Lily Rubenzer. The Raiders would continue to carry the play and doubled their lead in the 27th minute on a goal by Payton Killian. A just over a minute after that it was 3-0 Hudson after Natalie Ramthun scored. In the final minutes of the first half Hudson again scored two goals in quick succession. This time within 24 seconds of each other and both from Payton Killian. Killian scored her second and third goals of the game at 37:45 and 38:09 of the half to push the Hudson lead to 5-0.

Just over 4 minutes into the 2nd half Natalie Ramthum scored her second goal of the game and the Hudson lead was 6-0. Ramthum finished the scoring and her hat trick just under 7 minutes into the 2nd half and Hudson would win 7-0.

Hudson improve to 16-3-2 and advance to host Wausau West Thursday in a sectional semifinal. Everest finishes their season at 7-8-6.
