Softball: Mosinee bats explode for 26 runs in just two innings at the plate in regional victory over Antigo

The Mosinee softball team only batted twice in their Division 2 regional final vs. Antigo on Thursday. It was more than enough as they scored 15 runs in the 1st inning and 11 more in the 2nd en route to a 26-0 win in 3 innings. Mosinee advances to the sectional semifinal next Tuesday at Great Northern Conference rival Medford. Medford had a much more difficult time in a 8-6 regional final win over Merrill on Thursday.

Pacyn Stoffel was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 7 RBI in the game. Megan Treu was 3 for 3 with 5 RBI and 4 runs scored for Mosinee. Ava Busse tossed 3 shutout innings and allowed just 1 hit while striking out 4.
