The Wausau West High School softball team is spending their Spring Break in Arizona this week and started with an 11-2 win over Ketchikan High School of Alaska. The Warriors took advantage of some Ketchikan miscues in scoring four runs in both the 3rd and 5th innings. Jaidyn Oelke and Nora Hintz each had two hits in the game for the Warriors while Kaitlyn Butler pitched the first four innings, allowing two runs and earning the win. Hintz pitched a pair of scoreless innings to finish for West. The Warriors earned their first win of the 2026 season and are now 1-2 heading into their second game on their trip on Tuesday with one game and then finish with two more games on Thursday.
