Softball: Marathon's Podjaski and Staus along with Newman's Keene among those named all-Marawood South.

The Marawood Conference has announced their all-league teams for both the South and North Divisions. On the South 1st Team, Marathon's Allison Podjaski and Danica Staus were named along with Newman Catholic's Madison Keene. Podjaski, a junior, has a 13-2 record with a 1.53 ERA in the circle and a .338 batting average with 1 homer and 13 RBI. Staus, a senior, has a .400 batting average with 1 homer and 21 RBI. Keene, a junior for the Cardinals, has led Newman in hitting with a .453 batting average with 1 homer and 13 RBI.
Marathon also had a pair of all-2nd Team selections: senior Mylee Haehlke and sophomore Brinly Stencil. Haehlke currently has a .315 batting average with 4 homers and 26 RBI while Stencil is hitting .267 with 2 home runs and 15 RBI.
Among the Honorable Mention all-conference performers were Marathon junior Mayven Schneider and sophomore Rehgan Martin plus Newman Catholic senior Molly Merrill and sophomore Maddie Jankowski. Schneider is hitting .365 with 4 home runs and 22 RBI while Martin has a .430 batting average with 3 homers and 32 RBI. Merrill is hitting .333 with a homer and 5 RBI while Jankowski has a .370 batting average with 12 RBI while also starting every game in the circle at pitcher this season.
