Boys Hockey: Wausau West to name Dayne Hagedorn new head coach.

In an interview during the Wausau West football scrimmage on Friday, Wausau West Athletic Director B.J. Brandt told Wausau Area Sports that the school will announce this week that Dayne Hagedorn will be named the new head hockey coach of the Warriors. Hagedorn isucceeds Travis Brown in the position. Brown resigned due to health reasons after a very successful 1st season as head coach of the Warriors, earning WCHA Coach of the Year honors after leading West to a 24-2 record and a share of the Wisconsin Valley Conference championship. Hagedorn has been serving as an assistant coach for West while also teaching social studies at the High School.

Hagedorn is a 2019 graduate of Wausau West and was a member of the Warriors' 2019 state tournament team. Hagedorn scored 14 goals and added 10 assists over 2 varsity seasons at West.
