It was a perfect weather day for high school baseball on Thursday but the results weren't as good for Wausau West, Wausau East and Mosinee.

The Warriors fell against SPASH 10-0 in 5 innings in a game played at Memorial Park in Plover. Big innings hurt West as the Panthers scored 5 times in the 3rd and 4 more times in the 5th to roll to the victory. Carson Thurs, Ty Teske and Rohen Robbins had hits for West (0-4 overall, 0-1 WVC), who will travel to D.C. Everest on Friday in a game that has been moved up to 1 pm because of the threat of bad weather later in the day. The game will be broadcast live on the Wausau Area Sports YouTube channel starting with the pregame at 12:45 pm.

Big innings were the bane of the Wausau East Lumberjacks as well on Thursday. East led Wisconsin Rapids 4-3 heading into the 4th inning but saw Rapids score 7 times in the 4th and 6 more in the 5th to win 16-5 in five innings. Iain Stahel had a big game at the plate for East, going 3 for 3 with a double and 3 runs scored.

Mosinee dropped a Great Northern Conference game at home to Northland Pines 8-4. Mosinee led 2-0 before the Eagles scored three times in the 4th inning to take a 3-2 lead. Treve Stoffel would hit an RBI single in the 5th to tied the game at 3 before Pines would take charge with 2 runs in the 6th and 3 more in the 7th. Stoffel finishes 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored for Mosinee.
