Baseball: Mosinee brings out the bats in 19-3 rout of Lakeland

Following a pair of one run losses earlier this week, the Mosinee baseball team took their frustrations out on Lakeland Thursday. Mosinee 7 runs in each of the 3rd and 4th innings and beat the Thunderbirds 19-3.

Each of the top four batters in the lineup had at least four hits for Mosinee. Tyler Baars was 3 for 5 with 5 RBI and 3 runs scored. Baars also had a home run in the 7 run 3rd inning. Sebastian Andersen had 2 hits and a home run in the 1st inning while Treve Stoffel also had two hits and a home run in the 3rd. Aiden Laurila added two hits and two RBI as well.

Brayden Reinke was the winning pitcher going the first four innings while allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. Mosinee, now 13-7 overall, will host Wausau West for a non-conference game on Friday.
