League champion Stevens Point shares the top honors as WVC names all-conference girls' basketball team

The last two season Stevens Point girls' basketball standout Jada Seubert was named the WVC Player of the Year. This year the Iowa recruit is sharing the award with a teammate. The junior Seubert, along with SPASH's sophomore Leah Awe, were named the co-Players of the Year in voting from the league coaches. Seubert is averaging 24.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while Awe is scoring 18.6 points and pulling down 7.6 rebounds per game. SPASH coach Janelle McCarville was selected Coach of the Year and Seubert also named Defensive Player of the Year. SPASH won the league title with a perfect 10-0 record this season, finishing four games ahead of D.C. Everest, Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids.
