Down to just one week to go in the 2026 Wisconsin High School Football for 11-Player teams and the post-season set to begin for 8-Player squads. Week 8 again saw Wausau area student-athletes with performances that earn a spot on the Wausau Area Sports football "Honor Roll".

Aiden Kilde and Xander Klein (Wausau East): While the Lumberjacks' offense did their part in erasing a 21-0 Rhinelander lead early in the 2nd quarter in East's 25-21 win on the Hodags home field, it could not have happened without the defense shutting out Rhinelander's high powered pass game over the last 2 1/2 quarters. Kilde paced the Lumberjack defense with 12 tackles, 7 solo stops and 3 tackles for loss while Klein was also in double digits in tackles with 11 tackles and 8 of those stops were solo tackles.

Owen Chrouser (Marathon): Chrouser helped the Marathon defense shutdown Wittenberg-Birnamwood with 8 tackles, six solo stops and 4 tackles for loss in the Red Raiders 34-14 victory that helps the Raiders' potential seeding for the playoffs.

Garrett Bracewell (Marathon): A regular occupant of this list, Bracewell put up 172 yards of total offense in Friday's win at Witt-Birn. Bracewell caught six passes for 82 yards and a touchdown and added 90 yards on two carries with a touchdown as well. Bracewell now has 56 catches for 766 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.

Andrew Bangtson (D.C. Everest): The Everest running back was huge in the pass game in helping the Evergreens to a must-win 28-6 victory at Eau Claire Memorial on Friday night. Bangtson set up the first DCE touchdown with a 28 yard reception to the ECM 3 and scored the second Everest TD on a 41 yard screen pass. Bangtson finished with 4 catches for 103 yards and the touchdown for the game.

Bennett Kilgas (D.C. Everest): The DCE sophomore quarterback was solid in his first varsity start with 11 completions on 21 attempts for an even 200 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception as Everest moved to 4-4 on the season and kept their playoff hopes alive in a win at Eau Claire Memorial.

Max Harris (Mosinee): The sophomore has been a leader on defense for Mosinee all season long and led the team in tackles with 8, including 5 solo stops and 1 tackle for loss, in the loss to GNC-leading Medford on Friday.

Miles Waldvogel (Wausau West): The Warriors' senior was on his way to another big rushing night on Friday vs. Chippewa Falls with 71 yards on 10 carries early in the second quarter when forced to leave the game with injury and not return. Waldvogel has 754 yards rushing and 9 touchdowns so far this season.

Eli Feit (Newman Catholic): Feit continues to provide offense in different ways for the Cardinals. Feit has multiple touchdowns rushing (5), receiving (3) and throwing (2) this season, including a passing score and a rushing score in Friday's loss to Assumption.
